Young Researchers Programme

The Young Researchers Programme is a dynamic, team-based research initiative that equips emerging researchers with practical skills and exposure to real-world LED issues. Young researchers design and implement research projects with direct relevance to RLED, including capacity building, policy analysis, and institutional development.

Participants gain skills in:

  • Collaborative research and team dynamics
  • Managing outcomes without direct authority
  • Shaping and contributing to LED policy and practice

Key Responsibilities

The core responsibility of each Young Researcher is to complete a Master’s dissertation in a topic of mutual interest to the RLED community and the student. In addition, participants:

  • Assist in producing a research paper for publication
  • Engage in various activities within the broader RLED project team
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and field-based learning
